Founded in 1955, the company was first known under the name of La Cie d'Équipement Robert Ltée and specialized solely in surface treatment (plating of nickel, zinc and chrome and electropolishing of stainless steel).

In 1974, after adding a manufacturing division specializing in the stamping of steel pieces and the manufacturing of wire products, the corporate name became FILOCHROME INC.

In 1992, FILOCHROME INC. acquired three new roll-formers to allow a greater diversification of our production.

In December 1995, an important milestone was reached when FILOCHROME INC. obtained certification for ISO 9002 (1994) norms, and in May 2002 was certified ISO 9001 (2000).
